I am Chen

Ni Hao!
I am the "Chen" in McChenard.
My name is Annie (McInnis) Chen.
I'm married to a Chinese man (not Chinese American, rather born and raised in China).
We live in Japan with our daughter Julie, who was born in November, 2015.
We are full time missionaries here in Japan, with ministry in a variety of fields.
Our house ministry is geared toward college students, mainly foreign students coming to Japan from other countries.
Church ministry includes preaching, teaching Sunday school, occasional outreaches, and other basic "church activities."

All that to say, "Welcome to our blog!"
You'll find perspectives here from different generations and different cultural experiences.
Every post will be sprinkled with motherhood, in some facet or another.

May you find grace and encouragement here in your own journey of motherhood, faith, or life!
(As I write this on my phone, my daughter is snoring behind me in her car seat! I'm parked, don't worry!)

This is a blog compiled by three women-a mom and her two daughters. We are all mothers now, and have all had unique adventures in becoming a mother, and the journey of motherhood itself. Come stay awhile, and let our stories inspire and encourage you-that motherhood can be painful and hard, but can also be the most rewarding joy that we as women are blessed with!
